Director Message

"We believe in the holistic development of the students, and in serving the community with compassion and excellence.”

The professionals in Speech and Hearing field are involved in the identification and management of the people whose interpersonal communication is affected. The prevalence of people with communication disorders has increased drastically compared to the earlier decades,

the reasons for which could be attributed to change in life style and food preferences or it may be that the reported cases are more due to increased awareness. However the number of professionals available does not meet the needs at national and international level. Students, who graduate from this course are qualified to be appointed as Audiologists and Speech and Language Pathologist in various disciplines including schools, universities, hospitals, nursing homes, industrial set up, independent clinics etc.. There is also high scope for interdisciplinary research in this sector. This is a promising field for the aspiring youngsters.
